Northern Rock Pest Control was founded in 2008. The Top End needed a pest-control operator that turned up when they said they would and kept the records straight. Eighteen years on, we are still locally owned and run from our Darwin base, holding to the standards we set at the start.
Our Story
Northern Rock Pest Control was founded in 2008 by Peter with a simple goal: to provide Territory homeowners and builders with honest advice, quality workmanship, and termite management solutions that genuinely work in Northern Australian conditions.
Before establishing Northern Rock, Peter spent many years working throughout Northern Australia, including extensive time in the Kimberley region. Those years provided invaluable experience dealing with some of the country’s toughest and most unusual environmental conditions. It was this hands-on knowledge that shaped the foundation of Northern Rock Pest Control.
After settling in Darwin and raising four children, Peter saw an opportunity to create a locally owned business focused on professionalism, reliability, and long-term customer relationships. What started as a small operation has grown into one of Darwin’s most trusted names in pest management and construction termite protection.
Today, with more than 20 years of industry experience, Peter remains passionate about helping protect Territory homes and buildings. His particular expertise lies in construction termite management systems, working closely with builders, developers, and homeowners to ensure properties are protected from the ground up.
While Northern Rock has grown considerably over the years, its values remain unchanged. The company believes in clear communication, practical advice, doing the job properly, and treating every property as if it were its own.
Most importantly, Northern Rock is more than one person. Behind the business is a skilled and dedicated team who share the same commitment to customer service and workmanship. Together, they continue to help protect homes, businesses, and families across Darwin, Palmerston, and the entire Top End.
