Termite Management Systems

Termite systems aren’t fit-and-forget. The chemicals lapse and Top End conditions accelerate degradation. We renew the systems we install, replenish the ones we manage on your behalf, and bring inherited systems under proper management when you’ve taken on a property that came with one. Since 2008.

Termite System & Servicing

Modern chemical termite management systems require ongoing maintenance and chemical reapplications when due. The effective life expectancy of termite treatment chemicals depends on the type of chemical used and is generally between 2–5 years under ideal conditions. Darwin is considered a high-risk area for termite activity. The period of protection will vary depending on termite hazard levels, climate, soil conditions, and the chemical application rates used.

How NRPC Manages Your System Over Time

1

We hold the records

When NRPC installed the original system, the chemical type, application dates, and next-due date are in our system. You don’t have to find a previous owner’s paperwork.

2

We send the reminder

Before anything lapses, you get an email from us with the next renewal scheduled due date. You don’t carry the calendar.

3

We renew on schedule

We will carry out your annual termite inspection and chemical reapplication to your installed termite management system when due.

With options of different chemical types giving you the choice of price and installed chemical life expectancy of your installed termite protection system. Once completed, our system will be updated to ensure your property remains protected with our ongoing termite management systems.

Why Bring Your Existing System Under Our Management

We document what's there

Once we have carried out an inspection, we identify any termite management systems that are installed. If we are not the original installer of the system, we assess the condition and location of the termite management protection areas and provide you with a treatment proposal for chemical reapplication. If required, we may also request further information from you.

We maintain your system

Once chemical reapplication has been carried out, we will provide you with a Certificate of Treatment that details the type of system, inspection requirements, maintenance requirements, limitations, and recommended chemical reapplication intervals.

Reminders when things are due.

We will contact you via email when your termite inspections and chemical reapplications are due. So you always know your home is protected from termite attack.

Termite Management System Questions

Common questions about Termite Management Systems

Costs for termite system renewal depend on the system type, property size, and the time elapsed since the last application. Reticulation top-ups for smaller properties are typically lower, while full perimeter renewals for larger properties vary. Contact Northern Rock Pest Control for a personalised quote.
Chemical termite management systems typically offer protection for 2–5 years, depending on the chemical used, soil conditions, and local climate. Because Darwin is a high-risk area, we recommend regular monitoring. Once a chemical barrier’s effective life expires, the property is vulnerable to termite attack.
If you have recently purchased a home with an existing termite protection system, contact Northern Rock Pest Control to arrange an inspection. We will assess the system’s condition and provide a professional recommendation to either reinstate the chemical barrier or, if the system is inoperable, advise on alternative protective measures.
Yes. Northern Rock Pest Control is accredited to manage and replenish various systems. If your system is due for reapplication, please provide your installation certificate, or we can arrange a site visit to assess your specific system requirements.
If your termite system status cannot be verified, it is critical to assume the protective barrier has lapsed. We recommend contacting Northern Rock Pest Control immediately to arrange a free quote to reinstate your home’s termite protection and avoid potential damage from termite activity.

Don't wait, act now

A termite system that lapsed three years ago, on a Top End property, is functionally no longer a system. The chemical has degraded to background levels; the homeowner thinks they’re protected and isn’t. The cost of a renewal is small compared to a remediation bill from the years the property was unprotected without anyone tracking the calendar.
